About the Foundation

About the Foundation

The NOAM Support Foundation was established in response to a request from the Zurich authorities. It ensures that there is a clear separation between the fund for financial support (which has tax-privileged status), and the school’s normal operating accounts.

Establishment and registration

The Foundation was set up on January 8, 2003, and was entered on the commercial register of the Canton of Zurich on March 3, 2003.

Aims

The purpose of our Foundation is to support families with insufficient means, whose children attend NOAM, through assistance with school fees. The Foundation is a not-for-profit organization.

Tax deductibility

Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible under the laws of Canton Zurich, and are deductible from federal tax by Zurich taxpayers under decree no. 10193 of the Canton of Zurich.

State supervision

The Foundation is under the supervision of the Canton of Zurich.

Accounts and audit

The Foundation meets all the requirements regarding appropriate use of its funds, including mandatory audits.

Foundation Board

The Foundation Board currently has eight members:

  • Oliver Kin, President
  • Didier Langsam, President and delegate of the Noam Association
  • Marie-Louise Benjamin
  • Dr. Joel Fischer
  • Jean-Philippe Hechel
  • Danja Inzlicht
  • Michelle Rosen-Oberman
  • Dominique Rothschild
  • Dr. Alfred Strauss
  • Fabienne Wikler

Absolute discretion is assured in all areas.

Investment strategy

The Foundation follows a prudent and conservative investment policy, which aims to preserve the value of the assets in the fund and achieving a reasonable return. The professional experience of many of the members of the Foundation Board is a major advantage in this regard.
